I have tried opening the pattern in the piano roll and cutting and pasting it into a new piano roll on a new channel but then it seems if the start point is several bars along from the start point of all the other channels and it doesn't show in the channel rack. I can't do this option as I get a warning that patterns must be on a separate channel for this to work. I have Googled quite a lot but can only seem to find how to split channels to a separate pattern. But I cannot find a way to make them be assigned to different channels.
